Mood Portraits


When taking these pictures, it was kind of difficult working with my model at times, but overall it was pretty easy. My model felt a little uncomfortable at first but not for long. She was a little distracted at times so we had to retake a few pictures. To help her 'act' for my pictures, i told her to think of certain things or scenarios that would create the moods i listed.

  Artist Bio:          Emma Sinnott is a Boston, Massachusetts based photographer who specializes in landscape photography. Her current project focuses on capturing the small, peaceful moments within outdoor landscapes, creating an intimate and personal relationship with these moments that establish a deeper meaning. She explores this relationship between herself and these moments, discovering why she is drawn to them and what they mean to her. Her project plays with light, shadow, and texture, and the effect they have on these moments. She is studying at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and plans to receive her BFA in photography in May of 2025.

Flat Lay Self Portrait

This piece was a project for my junior year of high school. It had to be a flat lay "self-portrait" using the objects that best describe us. I chose all of these objects in the photo because at the time, they were all very important to me. Most of the objects are still very meaningful to me as I have gone throughout life.
