 Background: During my second semester, we continued to work with black and white film, but instead of working with the 4x5 film camera like the first semester, we switched to using roll film. The camera I used this semester was the Pentax 6x7 film camera. Negatives: 3 Approaches Final Prints       Top row: Portraits Middle row: Street Photos Bottom row: Self-Portraits Collage Assignment Done by taking 2 separate negatives and overlapping them when printing to create the collage effect.   This piece was from my freshman year of college in 2021. We worked with black and white digitally. I had 9 'themes' to capture for a 3x3 grid.   Set up: 1. Harmony 2. Variety 3. Balance 4. Proportion 5. Dominance 6. Movement 7. Economy 8. Scale 9. Radial Symmetry

Background: I started practicing my major this 2022-2023 school year and for the first semester, we focused on black and white film using a 4x5 film camera. This was my first time working with film and I loved it. I enjoy the darkroom and printing process.  With this post, I wanted to show my work as a first-time film photographer, so my photos definitely aren't my best yet, but I wanted to show my progress as I go forward with film. When taking these pictures, it was kind of difficult working with my model at times, but overall it was pretty easy. My model felt a little uncomfortable at first but not for long. She was a little distracted at times so we had to retake a few pictures. To help her 'act' for my pictures, i told her to think of certain things or scenarios that would create the moods i listed.
